ESTHER GUILLAUME
Who I am

I am Esther Guillaume, a financial security advisor, entrepreneur, trainer and author.
My career has developed in Haiti and then in Canada, working with families, entrepreneurs and institutions.
Education and training
I hold diplomas in administration, management and finance from BIWI and in management and accounting for small and medium-sized businesses from CCHEC. I also studied management at Université Concorde and completed training in insurance and investments at Durham College.
Professional development with Oxfam and Aide à l’Enfance Canada has enriched my practice.
My career in Haiti
In Haiti, I worked at the Direction générale des impôts from 1995 to 2005, founded FORMATEL in 2005 and trained managers and public-sector staff, including at FAES and Parliament.
After the 2010 earthquake, I was a team leader and then a programme manager with Oxfam Great Britain. I also carried out assignments for the Canadian Red Cross, Mercy Corps and PADF.
My career in Canada
In Canada, I supported newcomers at Maison d’Haïti and worked with iA Financial Group from 2018 to 2024 before continuing my independent practice.
Writing and applications
Today, I build on this experience by writing educational guides and books and designing the applications in the PROTELIA Collection.
The Collection brings together applications and resources to help people learn, protect themselves, organize and pass on information at different stages of life.
